Hi all, I’ve been watching the live feed of the LHC Experiment, and, well, contrary to the beliefs of some people, the world certainly did not end.

I’d like congratulate humanity on this great achievement, and, I’m looking forward to seeing what we discover.

And, lets just put it this way, damn, are some people going to feel really stupid, right about now.

EDIT: Well, after a couple of posts saying that I missed the fact that I did not recognise that there had been no collisions.. I thought I’d clarify.

I know there have been no collisions, as yet, it was an issue of large amount of people claimed that September 10th, would be the day that mattered. Obviously, this was not the case, hence the “damn, are some people going to feel really stupid, right about now.”

Thanks, and byee.

The thing is, they haven’t really done any collisions yet…
They’re just making the particles go in one direction at the moment, as far as I’ve understood it anyway.

So the end of the world *might* end, when the particles start crashing into eachother. But I highly doubt it XD

Actually, most people with concerns about the LHC are worried about what will happen when -collisions- actually occur.

You -are- aware that no collisions happened during the initial test phase, right? You wouldn’t be criticising the ignorance of others by demonstrating your own, would you?

Alex: Aye, I /am/ aware of the fact that there have been no collisions as yet. I was commenting on the belief by a lot of people that on the 10th, just when the damn thing gets turned *on*. The world would “end”. This was the point of my post. =)
