Well, it sure has been a long time since I’ve posted here, and much has happened. I certainly plan on a redesign, or finding a design to futz with, because, like last time – I’m not the person I was when I chose the last one.
I might have to work on a few new articles to post here, about various game design subjects. Haven’t had the time, or really, the inclination, in recent times.
I spent a lot of time, perhaps far too much time, working on things for Uru, and that really didn’t end well, at all – perhaps more on that another time.
As for relationships, as often seem to be the topic of my previous posts - Ri’ana and I parted ways in May 2012, and I’ve since met a wonderful woman, who goes by the name of Yums.
Other updates:
After 4 years, I have resumed my membership with the [ Free Software Foundation ], but I’m very much less idealistic in those regards, these days. Sometimes reality necessitates less ideal licensing, for some things – and as ever, I still long for a perfect license for Free Content, similar to the GPL – with the requirements of source, for the content that has source formats , yet tailored to artistic content. As for examples of Free Content with source formats – 3d models are a notable one, they can be the source format, as well as something that has a source – A rendered scene has the scene file as its source, and much the same for a model. So, a model or scene created in Blender 3d, the source would be the *.blend file (or files).
I think that’s enough for this update post, perhaps I’ll put up some real content, soon.
